Systems Engineering: Macroeconomic, Business, and Engineering Analysis

Computer Systems Analytics Inc. is a systems engineering and consulting business -- specializing in macroeconomic theory and analysis, contemporary economic problems, business and economic modeling, risk assessment, analytical model development, and systems engineering.

Economic Modeling

This is an application of statistical, stochastic, and deterministic techniques primarily to macroeconomic data.  It is based on time-series analysis of metrics and structural characteristics using underlying statistics-based parameters.

Statistical Signal Processing

This area includes applying stochastic techniques to predicting probabilistic performance of economic data.  Techniques include bayes methodology for examining data and predicting performance as well as the application of advanced filtering techniques to existing data -- for smoothing, prediction, and correction.

Time-Series Models

This effort includes the definition, from a state-variable approach to modeling, of algorithms for defining structural behavior of metric performance.  Techniques include moving-average, auto-regressive, maximum-entropy, and recursive models, as examples, applied to time-series descriptions of underlying phenomena.

Macroeconomics

Typical research focuses on the impact of parameters, such as deficits or spreads, on debts, for example.  Other applications look for approaches to defining global metrics based on macroeconomic data.  One objective is to predict and analyze macroeconomic viewpoints from a structural perspective.  A general tool is to employ historical data sets, where possible, but to look for outlier performance characteristics.

Mathematical Analysis

These techniques incorporate probability, random variables, and stochastic technuiques versus alternative methodologies using deterministic approximations to performance.  The approaches are applied to both the "well-defined" and the "ill-defined" data analysis problem.  A significant aspect of the analysis is to examine recursive phenomena in the context of defining underlying statistics
